Course Description
HeartCode ACLS Anywhere is a CD-based e-learning product that uses micro-simulation technology to present realistic patient scenarios. Students are presented with the 10 ACLS Core cases in hospital-based scenarios. While interacting with the program, students assess each patient, formulate a treatment plan based on ACLS guidelines, and provide treatment. Successful completion of the CD-based cognitive component, paired with skills verification provided by an AHA ACLS Instructor meets the requirements for the issuing of an AHA ACLS Provider card to the participant.
HeartCode ACLS Anywhere is the first ECC product approved by the Accreditation Department for Continuing Education for nurses, doctors and pharmacists by their respective credentialing bodies (AACN, ACCME, and ACPE). Eight additional advanced ACLS modules on the HeartCode CD, available for purchase after completion of the ACLS Course, have also been accredited by the respective credentialing bodies.
Purpose/Intended Audience: An alternative way to renew certification for the American Heart Association ACLS educational and training programs for learners, instructors and administrators.
